The glass model of the Bremen depicts the ship on which the Wegners emigrated to America from Germany in 1886. This was one of their first large concrete projects, completed in 1930. The model is made of concrete covered with broken glass and seashells, with glass insulators for portholes, even a concrete anchor on a chain. Above deck there are numerous small details, with air funnels and radio masts made from pipes, and even some tiny glass passengers inside the cabins.
