Vermont's counterpart to New Hampshire's Old Man of the Mountain is shown on this postcard as a rough profile on the side of Mt. Mansfield, but is more commonly thought of as a much larger prone face like that of a sleeping giant, which follows the ridge of Mt. Mansfield from a forehead at the south to an oversized chin at the north. The Cave of the Winds is a 200-foot deep cleft in the mountain visible on the lower left of the cliff in the photo.
